Their story
Plantae & Fungi is a small shop on Sheffield Street in Cambria, the seaside village on California's Central Coast. Partners Mike and Miho opened it after the pandemic, and the team behind it includes herbalists, yoga teachers, craftspeople and parents.
The idea is simple: use the everyday power of plants and mushrooms to support their community. Alongside goods from other makers, the shop blends its own products, from mushroom elixirs and teas to a house-made fiber blend.
How it's made
Plantae & Fungi focuses on organic, sustainable and locally sourced ingredients, including certified organic maitake and lion's mane mushroom powders. The shop is a member of 1% for the Planet and is certified women- and minority-owned.
