Their story
Poppi started in Allison Ellsworth's kitchen, where she mixed fruit, apple cider vinegar and soda water looking for a low-sugar soda she felt good about. She built the company with her husband, Stephen, and in 2018 pitched it on Shark Tank while nine months pregnant, landing an investment from Rohan Oza.
The brand, now based in Austin, grew quickly, passing $500 million in annual revenue in 2024. PepsiCo acquired Poppi in May 2025 in a deal valued at $1.95 billion.
How it's made
Poppi blends sparkling water with fruit juice and apple cider vinegar and adds prebiotic fiber. Each can is designed to be low in sugar compared with traditional soda.
