Ramsay
Everyday North Coast wines from Napa's Kent Rasmussen Winery.

- Kent Rasmussen, Celia Rasmussen
Their story
Ramsay is the approachable label from Kent Rasmussen Winery, a family operation started by Kent, a former librarian, and his wife Celia. They left the Bay Area, borrowed $20,000, and released their first commercial wine from the 1986 vintage, rooted in the Carneros district of Napa.
Kent has made all of the wines since then. While the Kent Rasmussen label focuses on Napa Valley fruit, Ramsay carries most of the family's production at friendlier prices.
How it's made
Ramsay wines draw mostly on North Coast vineyards, including sites in Mendocino and Lake Counties. The family uses long-term grape contracts to keep fruit consistent year to year, bottling Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah.
Why we carry them
We like Ramsay for a dependable weeknight red from a winemaker with decades in Napa. The Pinot Noir is an easy pick for the dinner table.
