Their story
RationAle Brewing was founded by Jamie Fay, with his partner Wendy Pickett as first investor and now co-leader. Fay's sons, Tyler and Carter, pitched in at launch, from trademarking the name to canning and deliveries.
The first beers reached the market in September 2021 at Seaside Market in Cardiff, California. RationAle aims its non-alcoholic beer at everyday craft beer drinkers and has since expanded across several Western states and online.
How it's made
The beer is brewed at a partner brewery in Sonoma County and fully fermented to around 4 to 6% ABV. Vacuum distillation then removes the alcohol, a little is blended back for flavor, and the IPAs are dry-hopped afterward.
