Their story

Sam's Pickle House is the work of Sam, a Le Cordon Bleu-trained cook who spent about fifteen years selling cold pickles at a farmers market booth in Austin, picking up seven national food awards along the way. In 2018 he opened a shop, The Pickle House, which closed during the pandemic.

Sam then moved back to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, where he led the culinary program at a local high school. He kept making his sauces by hand with a small team, using the brine from the pickles that made his name.

How it's made

Each sauce starts with the brine from Sam's pickles, which brings both salt and acidity. He adds fresh chopped dill, garlic, and a spice blend he keeps to himself, then bottles it by hand in Virginia.

Why we carry them

If you are the person who drinks the pickle juice, this one is for you. We like the dill sauce as a dip for fries or a quick dressing for potato salad.
