Saucy Gourmet was founded in South Florida in 2020 by chef David Blonsky, who wanted to make the freshest-tasting salsas on the shelf.
The brand launched at Whole Foods Market, where its vegan salsas found a following, and has since spread to grocery stores across the South.
How it's made
The salsas use a short list of fresh ingredients and no added sugar. The ingredients are slow-roasted and then blended. Flavors include Classic, Chipotle, Habanero, and a mild Salsa Verde.
I set out to create the freshest tasting salsas and sauces in the market.
Why we carry them
We like how fresh these taste for a jarred salsa. The salsa verde doubles as a marinade for chicken.
