Sea Tangle Noodle Company is a family-owned business based in San Diego, California. The family behind it says they were the first to bring this style of kelp noodle to market.
The idea is simple: a pantry noodle made from the sea rather than from wheat or rice. Today their kelp noodles show up in natural food stores across the country, plus flavored versions such as green tea and moringa.
How it's made
The noodles are made from seaweed and water. According to the company, the green outer skin of the kelp is removed and the white inner flesh is sun-dried and ground into a powder, which becomes the base of the noodle. They are naturally gluten free.
