Their story

SirDavis is the American whiskey Beyoncé Knowles-Carter created with Moët Hennessy, launched in 2024. The name honors her great-grandfather Davis Hogue, a farmer who made moonshine during Prohibition.

The whiskey was developed with master distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden, known for his long tenure at Glenmorangie and Ardbeg, and it is finished, blended and bottled in Texas.

How it's made

SirDavis is made from a mash of 51 percent rye and 49 percent malted barley, an unusual pairing for American whiskey. After aging, it is finished in sherry casks, which adds dried fruit and spice notes to the rye.

SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to my great-grandfather, uniting us through a new shared legacy.

Why we carry them

We think SirDavis is worth a pour for its unusual rye and barley recipe and sherry cask finish. It is a smooth sipper and a fun gift.
