Their story
SKYY was created in 1992 by Maurice Kanbar, a San Francisco inventor who set out to make a cleaner-tasting vodka. Early production was handled by a distiller in San Jose, and the brand's cobalt blue bottle quickly made it recognizable on back bars.
Campari Group took full ownership of SKYY Spirits in 2009, and the vodka is now part of Campari's portfolio.
How it's made
SKYY is a wheat-based vodka. Kanbar focused on a distillation and filtration process meant to strip out congeners, the compounds he believed caused off flavors, for a smooth, neutral spirit.
Why we carry them
SKYY is a dependable, clean vodka with San Francisco roots. It is a solid choice for mixed drinks and party bars.
