Their story
Sorelle Bronca means "Bronca sisters," and the name is literal. Antonella and Ersiliana Bronca took over their father Livio's land in the hills between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene in 1988, and they still run the estate with family alongside them, including Ersiliana's daughter Elisa, an enologist.
Their 20 hectares sit in the Prosecco Superiore DOCG zone on slopes as steep as 60 percent. The sisters were early to switch to organic farming here, and they have built a following for Proseccos with more character than the usual party bubbles.
How it's made
The vineyards are farmed organically with cover crops, and grapes are picked by hand into small crates. The Glera is made into sparkling wine using the charmat method to keep its fresh fruit aromas, and the sisters also experiment with spontaneous fermentation.
Why we carry them
We like pouring Sorelle Bronca for anyone who thinks they know Prosecco. It is crisp, precise and a real step up for a weeknight toast.
