Their story
Storm Point is a collaborative wine project in the Swartland, the dry, sun-baked region north of Cape Town that has become one of South Africa's most exciting wine areas.
The idea is simple: show drinkers which grapes naturally suit the Swartland's climate and soils, at a fair price. The range includes a Chenin Blanc, a red blend, and a rosé.
How it's made
The Chenin Blanc comes from dry-farmed bush vines, mostly 20 to 30 years old, on granite-based soils across several vineyards. It ferments cool in stainless steel with native yeast, rests on its lees for six months, and is bottled unfined.
Why we carry them
Storm Point Chenin is an easy way into South African white wine, bright and full of fruit for the price. It works with everything from salads to roast chicken.
