Their story
Sun Ghee is a family-owned company in Denver led by Farnosh Family, who began making ghee in her own kitchen as a nourishing everyday fat. She started infusing it with herbs and spices and handing jars to friends, who kept asking for more.
That home habit became a small business with a broader aim: bringing traditional ghee-making and the cooking cultures behind it into more American kitchens. In 2025 the line earned Non-GMO Project Verification.
How it's made
Sun Ghee is made from the butter of grass-fed cows on organic farms that use regenerative practices. The butter is cooked down into ghee and blended with herbs and spices, and the Non-GMO verification extends to what the cows eat.

Why we carry them
We like a spoonful of Sun Ghee for searing vegetables or finishing rice, since the spices are already built in. It is a simple way to add depth to a weeknight dinner.
