Their story
Sunriver Brewing opened as a small brewpub in the resort town of Sunriver, Oregon, in July 2012. Early beers were contract-brewed, and the owners soon brought in brewer Brett Thomas, formerly of Silver Moon in Bend, to build a brewery of its own.
A production brewery in Bend followed in 2014, along with pubs in Bend and Eugene. Under Thomas, now director of brewing operations, and head brewer Patrick Raasch, Sunriver has twice been named Brewery of the Year at the Great American Beer Festival, in 2017 and 2024.
How it's made
Beer is brewed at the company's production facility in Bend and distributed across most of Oregon. The team credits its results to a strict focus on consistency that it calls its Culture of Quality.
It's a tremendous honor to be named GABF Brewery of the Year for a second time.
