Their story
Supergay Spirits was started in New York by a group of friends including Aaron Thorp, a longtime beverage director in the city's restaurants, and Tom Jackson, a designer who co-founded GAYLETTER magazine and drew the brand's label. They wanted a spirits brand that was openly queer, fun and serious about quality.
The vodka launched in March 2020, the week before New York shut down for the pandemic. The range has since grown to include Fire Island Dry Gin and a line of canned cocktails, and the brand shares a portion of proceeds with the LGBTQ+ community.
How it's made
Supergay vodka is made from organically farmed corn grown in Missouri and upstate New York and is produced in small batches north of New York City near Port Chester. It is filtered through activated charcoal made from coconut husk, which the team chose for the texture it gives.
it's a product that's meant to bring joy to people
Why we carry them
Supergay is a clean, smooth vodka in a bottle that starts conversations. It makes a great gift for anyone who likes their martinis with a sense of humor.
