Their story
Tenjaku is a Japanese whisky made at a site that looks out over Mount Fuji, under the guidance of master distiller Kenji Watanabe.
The brand arrived in the United States in 2020, pitched as an approachable everyday Japanese whisky at a time when many better-known labels were hard to find. A pure malt bottling has since joined the original blend.
How it's made
The original blend uses a mash of about 86% corn and 14% barley, made from locally sourced grain and water. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
We're managing this as a craft brand with heritage and the legacy of a revered master distiller.
Why we carry them
We like Tenjaku as an easygoing introduction to Japanese whisky. Try it in a highball with plenty of ice.
