Their story

Terra began with two chefs, Dana Sinkler and Alex Dzieduszycki, who left jobs at a four-star restaurant to start a catering business. In 1990 they started making colorful root vegetable chips as an appetizer for their events.

The chips caught on fast. A large order from Saks that same year convinced them to give up catering and focus on chips full time. The Hain Celestial Group bought Terra in 2001 and still owns the brand today.

How it's made

Terra chips are made from root vegetables such as sweet potatoes and parsnips rather than ordinary potatoes alone. Mixing several vegetables in each bag is what gives the chips their range of colors and flavors.

Why we carry them

We like having Terra on the shelf because it makes any snack bowl look better. The mix of vegetables gives each handful a slightly different flavor.
