Their story
The Beekeeper's Daughter is run by Hannah Burgess, who grew up around hives in northeastern Pennsylvania. Her grandfather, William Perry Sr., started Perry Apiaries in Dallas, Pennsylvania, in the early 1950s.
Hannah spent eight years working in a salon before starting her own honey company in 2010. It is still a family business: her mother works alongside her full time, and her brother joined in 2019. The shop sits in Plains, near Wilkes-Barre.
How it's made
All of the honey comes from the family's own hives, and it is extracted and bottled in their honey house rather than bought in bulk. It is left raw and unfiltered, so the pollen, wax, and propolis stay in. The range includes wildflower, orange blossom, buckwheat, and creamed cinnamon honey.

Why we carry them
We like honey that comes straight from the people who keep the bees, and this is exactly that. The buckwheat is a great match for a sharp cheese.
