Their story
The Community Spirit Vodka comes from Casa Lumbre Spirits, a spirits company with roots in Mexico. It launched in 2021 with a simple guiding idea the team calls "People Over Everything," aiming to lift up marginalized voices and the local groups doing work in their own neighborhoods.
A portion of every bottle sold goes to individuals and organizations giving back to their communities. In 2022 the brand reported donating 24 percent of its revenue to partners, and it went on to earn B Corp certification, exceeding the program's standard for companies designed to give.
How it's made
The vodka is made from 100 percent American corn and distilled five times. It is filtered through activated coconut carbon, which the brand chose as a renewable material, and the finished spirit is gluten-free and kosher.
Companies should prioritize people over everything in their business model
Why we carry them
This is a clean, versatile vodka for cocktails, and we like that buying a bottle sends real support to community groups.
