Their story
The Honest Company was founded in 2011 by actor Jessica Alba with Christopher Gavigan and Brian Lee. The idea grew out of a search for baby and household products that left out ingredients many parents wanted to avoid. Its first products went on sale in 2012.
Based in Los Angeles, the company grew from diapers and wipes into personal care, cleaning and beauty, and became a public company on Nasdaq in 2021. Alba stepped back from her creative role in 2024, and the business is now led by CEO Carla Vernon.
How it's made
Honest builds its formulas around its "No List," a set of ingredients it leaves out, such as parabens, phthalates and synthetic fragrances. The range covers baby care, body care, home cleaning and beauty.
Why we carry them
A practical pick for the household basics, from people who read ingredient labels as closely as we do.
