Their story

The Protein Bakery was started in 1999 by Stephen Charles Lincoln, a fitness instructor who also loved to bake. He wanted treats that carried extra protein without tasting like a health product.

The bakery, based in Manhattan's Flatiron District, grew a following for its cookies, brownies, and blondies, sold in packs for home and in tins and sets for gifting.

How it's made

Everything is baked in small batches without wheat flour, using whey protein along with rolled oats, brown sugar, nuts, and fruit. Each serving carries about 6 grams of protein. The recipes are gluten-free and kosher certified, though the facility also handles gluten.

Fitness is my business, baking is my passion.

Why we carry them

We like these as a gift that does not feel like a compromise. The tins make an easy host present.
