Their story

Topo Chico takes its name from Cerro del Topo Chico, a mountain on the edge of Monterrey in northern Mexico. The water has been bottled there since 1895, and the label still nods to an old legend of an Aztec princess said to have been healed by the spring.

The first bottles looked like pharmacy bottles, a hint at the water's reputation as a tonic. For more than a century it was a regional favorite, then built a loyal following in Texas and beyond. The Coca-Cola Company bought the brand in 2017.

How it's made

The mineral water is sourced and bottled in Monterrey. It carries natural carbonation from the source and is given added carbonation for its famously sharp, lasting bubbles, then sold in its classic glass bottles.

Why we carry them

We keep Topo Chico cold for a reason: those big, aggressive bubbles make it the best plain sparkling water for a ranch water or a hot afternoon.
