Their story
The Troupis family has worked with plants in Mantinia, in the central Peloponnese, since the 1970s, when they ran a nursery growing fruit trees, flowers and grapevines.
Tasos Troupis and his children later turned that knowledge into a winery, which Yiannis Troupis now leads with winemaker Dimitris Akrivos. The family has become one of the best-known champions of Moschofilero, the pink-skinned local grape.
How it's made
Vineyards sit around 700 meters in Fteri, on Mantinia's cool plateau, and are farmed with regenerative methods. Moschofilero is fermented in stainless steel to keep its floral, citrusy aromas, and the family also works with Agiorgitiko from nearby Nemea.
Why we carry them
We reach for Troupis when someone wants a white that is crisp, floral and a bit different. It is lovely with grilled fish and Greek salads.
