Their story

Trü Frü started in 2017 in West Valley City, Utah, with a simple idea: take whole fruit and coat it in chocolate for a snack that feels like dessert. The brand grew quickly through grocery freezers and snack aisles.

Mars acquired Trü Frü at the end of 2022, and it now runs as a business unit within Mars. In 2025 the company moved its headquarters to downtown Salt Lake City.

How it's made

Trü Frü coats whole pieces of fruit, such as strawberries, raspberries and bananas, in layers of white and dark chocolate. Some are sold frozen, and others use freeze-dried fruit for a crunchy, shelf-stable snack.
