Their story
Urban Remedy grew out of the wellness retreats Neka Pasquale ran as an acupuncturist and practitioner of Chinese medicine. She saw how much her patients changed when they ate simple, nutrient-dense food, and in 2009 she began selling that food more widely.
The company started online and now sells through its own Bay Area shops, hospitals, gyms and natural grocers. It is headquartered in Point Richmond, is woman-owned, and is a Certified B Corporation.
How it's made
Everything Urban Remedy makes is organic, non-GMO, gluten-free and dairy-free, from cold-pressed juices to salads, grain bowls and desserts without refined sugar. The company works with local farmers and has redesigned its packaging to keep salads and bowls fresh longer.
