Their story

Villa Le Corti sits in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, about 15 kilometers south of Florence at the northern edge of Chianti Classico. The Corsini family, long one of Florence's leading families, bought the property in 1362, and the family archives are still kept in the villa.

Duccio Corsini has run the wine business since 1992, together with his wife Clotilde and their two daughters. The estate covers more than 100 hectares, about half of it Sangiovese vineyards, plus a large olive grove.

How it's made

The south-facing vineyards sit on hilltops between 220 and 300 meters and have been farmed organically since 2015. The range runs from Le Corti Chianti Classico to the Cortevecchia Riserva and two Gran Selezione wines, Don Tommaso and Zac, all aimed at elegance over heavy structure.

Why we carry them

We like Le Corti for its graceful, food-friendly Sangiovese from one of Tuscany's oldest family estates. Pour it with pasta or a simple steak.
