Their story
White Mausu is a small Dublin company started by Katie and Jasper, who first sold their homemade sauces at the Dublin Flea Market. Word spread quickly, and the jars soon found their way into delis across Ireland and the UK.
Their best-known product is Peanut Rayu, a crunchy take on Japanese chili oil that borrows from Chinese and Korean cooking too.
How it's made
The rayu layers sesame and crunchy peanuts with chili, using Korean gochugaru and tamari for extra depth. The sauces began as homemade batches for the flea market, and there is now an extra hot version too.
Why we carry them
We spoon White Mausu over eggs, noodles and roasted vegetables, and it disappears fast. The peanut crunch is what keeps us coming back.
