Their story
Zumbador is a tequila made at Destilería El Sabino (NOM 164) in Jalisco under master tequilero Roberto López Anaya, who is involved in every step from field to bottle. The brand is brought to market by Lighthouse Brands, led by CEO Sarah Santerian.
The label shows three hummingbirds, a thank-you to the pollinators that agave depends on and a nod to the family legacy behind the tequila. The range includes a blanco, reposado and añejo, and reviewers often point out how much quality it offers for the price.
How it's made
All of the agave is grown on land the distillery owns, so the team controls the crop from planting to harvest. López Anaya oversees the fields and the distillation, and the aged expressions rest in barrels before bottling.
Why we carry them
A tequila that works as well in a margarita as it does neat. The añejo is a lot of bottle for the money.
