Their story
Aunt Fannie's was started by Mat Franken, a Pacific Northwest dad who left a career in private finance after his young son's health troubles led him to take a hard look at the products his family used at home. He began working on his own formulas in his garage and named the brand after his grandmother, a plain-speaking woman he admired.
The first product, the FlyPunch! fruit fly trap, launched in January 2015 and remains the brand's best seller. The line has since grown to include floor cleaners, cleaning vinegar, carpet refresher and essential oil mosquito repellents.
How it's made
Aunt Fannie's cleaners rely on vinegar to cut through dirt, with plant-based ingredients and essential oils for scent rather than antibacterial agents. The FlyPunch! trap is made without petrochemical oils, pyrethrins or formaldehyde.
