Their story
Black Tot traces back to 2010, when spirits collector Sukhinder Singh bought the last remaining flagons of Royal Navy rum. That stock became the Black Tot Last Consignment, a bottling of genuine navy rum.
The Royal Navy gave sailors a daily rum ration, or tot, for centuries until it ended on July 31, 1970, a date still marked as Black Tot Day. Years after the Last Consignment, the brand released Black Tot Finest Caribbean Rum, a blend built in the navy style and now made by Elixir Distillers.
How it's made
Like the navy blends before it, Black Tot combines rums from Guyana, Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad. Head blender Oliver Chilton draws on the navy practice of perpetual blending, and some special releases are bottled at navy strength.

Why we carry them
We love a rum with a real piece of history behind it. Black Tot is rich and layered, great neat or in a classic grog.
