Their story
BonBon was started in New York in 2018 by three Swedes, including co-founder Leo Schaltz, who wanted to share the candy culture they grew up with. For them, Swedish candy is a big part of everyday life back home.
The company built a following with its shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and online as Swedish candy took off with American shoppers. It has since added more stores and its own line of sour candy fish.
How it's made
BonBon imports its candy from Sweden, including bulk pick-and-mix sweets and dozens of kinds of black licorice. Its own sour candy fish are made in southern Sweden, and much of the range is gluten-free and vegan with no high-fructose corn syrup.

Why we carry them
We think BonBon's sour fish are some of the most fun candy on our shelves. They are chewy, tangy and very hard to stop eating.
