Their story
Busa comes out of the Busalacchi family, who emigrated from Sicily in 1966 and built a background in restaurants and distilling. PJ Busalacchi noticed how many espresso martinis guests were ordering at the family's restaurant Barbusa and teamed up with spirits entrepreneur Walt Kerpa to bottle one.
The company, based in La Jolla, California, has been producing its Oatmilk Espresso Martini since 2023.
How it's made
The cocktail combines Italian roasted fair trade espresso, oat milk sweetened with cane sugar, natural flavors, and grain-based vodka. It is shelf-stable and ready to pour over ice without refrigeration.
