Their story
Cork Pops is a small company based in Marin County, just north of San Francisco, that designs gadgets for wine drinkers. It was featured in 2024 on KTVU's Made in the Bay series, which visited the company and its inventor.
The brand is best known for its wine bottle openers, which skip the corkscrew entirely.
How it's made
Cork Pops openers use a small replaceable gas cartridge. A thin needle goes through the cork, and a short burst of gas pushes the cork up and out of the bottle. Refill cartridges are sold separately.
Why we carry them
We like Cork Pops as a gift for the friend who always wrestles with the corkscrew, and it comes from just across the Golden Gate.
