Their story
Daily Crunch is the work of Laurel Orley and her aunt, Diane Orley. Both working mothers, they wanted a snack that was easy to grab and something they felt good handing to their families.
They landed on sprouted nuts, a style that was still unusual on American shelves. The brand launched in early 2020, first in Nashville and Detroit and online, then spread to more states through a distributor.
The lineup centers on sprouted almonds, cashews and walnuts in a range of flavors.
How it's made
The nuts are soaked in water long enough to begin sprouting, then dehydrated slowly at low temperature. The soak starts germination and reduces phytic acid, and the slow drying gives the nuts a light, extra crunchy texture.
