Their story
Malvi is the work of Laura Curtis Ratana, a Culinary Institute of America graduate who cooked professionally in New Jersey. Her love of marshmallows goes back to Girl Scout days and summers by Lake Michigan with bonfires and s'mores.
She made her first marshmallow in 2012, a raspberry hibiscus mallow tucked between two dark chocolate shortbread cookies as a snack after work. That led to Malvi, which she runs from a shop in north Forsyth County, Georgia.
How it's made
Each batch of marshmallows is made by hand, whipped light and cut into fluffy squares. Flavors draw on fruit, flowers and chocolate, in the spirit of that first raspberry hibiscus mallow.
Why we carry them
We like Malvi for turning s'mores and hot cocoa into something special. These are a world apart from the bagged kind.
