Par Avion Tea
Playful, color-changing loose teas with a modern American spirit.

Their story
Par Avion Tea was started by Alexandra Mysoor, who grew up in Shoreview, Minnesota, and later moved to California. Her love of tea goes back to childhood, when her grandmother sent tea and spices to the family from India.
Mysoor set out to build what she calls a modern American tea culture, with blends that are fun to look at as well as to drink. Best known is Unicorn Tears, a green tea that shifts from blue to pink when you add lemon.
How it's made
Blends combine tea with flowers, fruit and other additions. Blue butterfly pea flower gives several teas their color shift, reacting to acid like lemon juice. Other blends use rock candy jewels that dissolve as they steep, or cocoa and white chocolate for latte-style cups.
no one has pushed the boundaries in so long to create a modern American tea culture.
Why we carry them
We think of these as tea for gifting and for fun. A squeeze of lemon into Unicorn Tears makes a good party trick.
