Their story
Powell & Mahoney is the partnership of Brian Powell and Mark Mahoney, two mixer industry veterans in Williston, Vermont. Around 2010, in the middle of the recession, Powell asked Mahoney to get back into the business with him.
From the start they agreed not to cut corners on quality, putting their money into ingredients and recipes rather than fancy packaging. They built their own facility so they could make the mixers to their own standards, with a goal of letting people recreate bar-quality drinks at home.
How it's made
The mixers are made with juices, essential oils and cane sugar, then bottled in glass and kept shelf-stable. The line covers more than a dozen classic cocktail blends.
This can go mainstream and still have that connotation of quality.
Why we carry them
We like these for a party when you want good drinks without squeezing a bag of limes. They work just as well alcohol-free over ice with soda.
