Their story
Promix Nutrition was started by Albert Matheny, a former college track athlete and endurance competitor who studied exercise physiology and food science. Around 2011 he began making supplements for himself and his teammates, aiming for products as clean as whole food.
In the early days he set up his own production and ran packaging in the evenings at a local coffee roaster. The brand has since moved most of its packaging away from plastic.
How it's made
Promix sources farm-direct ingredients such as grass-fed whey protein and keeps its recipes short. Packaging is now 97% plastic free.
The most successful products I've had have been something that I really believed in.
