Their story
Pump Street began as a bakery opened in November 2010 by father and daughter Chris and Joanna Brennan. Chris was a self-taught baker, and they set up shop in a 15th-century building on the Market Square in Orford, Suffolk, that had sat empty for almost 20 years.
In 2012 they started making chocolate in the bakery's pastry section. It soon moved into an old barn at Richmond Old Dairy, and in 2017 into a former military building at Bentwaters Parks near Rendlesham.
How it's made
Pump Street makes its chocolate by hand from bean to bar using traditional methods. The team focuses on ethically sourced cacao and all-natural ingredients.
Why we carry them
We like Pump Street for chocolate with a baker's sense of flavor. It is a fun bar to share with anyone who thinks they know what dark chocolate tastes like.
