Their story

Seoul Tonic was started in 2021 by Sophie Hood, working alongside Mr Parks, a third-generation Korean pear farmer. Their aim is to bring Korean drinking and wellness habits, like a sip of drinking vinegar the morning after a night out, to Western shoppers.

The brand began as a hangover remedy and has been widening into a broader wellness line, sold in health food stores, supermarkets and gyms.

How it's made

The tonics lean on a short list of ingredients. One recovery blend uses just three: Korean pear juice, apple cider vinegar and red ginseng, developed over more than 18 months using traditional Korean fermentation methods. The drinks come in easy-to-carry pouches.

It's not about what you just put on your body anymore, it's about what you put in it.
Sophie Hood, founder, to Inside Retail (2025)

Why we carry them

We like how simple this is: pear, vinegar and ginseng in a pouch you can toss in a bag. A smart thing to keep on hand for the morning after.
