Their story
Temple Coffee began with Sean Kohmescher, a barista who came home to Sacramento after a long stay in Indonesia and opened his first coffee house in 2005.
The cafe became a local fixture, and in 2009 Temple started roasting its own beans, building a specialty coffee business that is still rooted in Sacramento.
How it's made
Temple buys most of its green coffee from producers and suppliers it has worked with for years, looking for quality, consistency and shared values around the well-being of farmers and the land. Each coffee gets its own roast profile, refined through repeated cupping by the roasting team.
Why we carry them
We like Temple for its clean, carefully roasted single origins from just up the road in Sacramento. It is a great bag for anyone who brews pour-over at home.
