Tequio

Canned tequila sodas made with real agave tequila and nothing extra.

Founded by
Louis-Pascal Walsh, Frederick "Flick" Mooradian

Their story

Tequio is the work of Louis-Pascal Walsh and Flick Mooradian, childhood friends from Southern California. A few years ago they started looking at canned cocktails and wondered why so many hid the spirit behind sugar and flavorings.

Their answer was a tequila soda that lets the agave lead. The name is pronounced "tek-ee-oh," and the lineup includes Blanco and Reposado sodas along with a Paloma-style cocktail.

How it's made

Tequio uses 100% agave tequila sourced with Guillermo "Willy" Bañuelos, a third-generation tequilero in Mexico. The tequila is mixed with sparkling water and no added sugar, landing at about 100 calories per can.

Why we carry them

We reach for Tequio when we want a cold, simple drink that still tastes like tequila. It is a good pick for picnics and the beach.
