Their story
The Chocolate Society works from the rolling countryside of Somerset in southwest England. It was started in 2002 by two former financiers who traded careers in finance for chocolate making.
The company pairs traditional methods with a few modern ideas, from blonde chocolate truffles to flavored bars and malt balls, and puts sustainability and ethical sourcing at the center of how it works.
How it's made
Truffles are made with a soft ganache center inside a thin chocolate shell, in flavors such as salted caramel and espresso. The company emphasizes ethical sourcing and fair trade practices. It also sells bags of chocolate drops for baking at home.
Why we carry them
The Chocolate Society's malt balls and caramelized milk bars make easy gifts. We like having a British chocolatier in the mix for something a little different.
